Well, February is another quiet month. However, you can start to prepare for the repotting season by making sure you draw up a list of those trees that will need to be repotted by carefully lifting out the rootball from the pot and examine it. If you find a tight network of roots it will need to be root-pruned and repotted this spring.
Make sure you check the bonsai pots for any cracks and if needed, add the plant to the list.
You still have enough time to prepare your own soil or purchase a good quality Bonsaisoil, clean and sharpen your Bonsai toolsand prepare or order the new pots.
DO NOT START REPOTTING THIS TIME OF THE YEAR.
Make sure you regularly check the soil of your plants and water them to keep it moist.
